David meets families in Peru’s Colca Valley
After seeing an orphan choir from Peru perform at a nursing home in Houston, Texas, David was invited to visit the children’s home villages. He met dozens of families in eleven remote villages high in the Colca Valley.

The Colca Valley
Urban Angels began in the Colca Valley of Peru, where we worked with families from 2015 to 2017. These pages keep the record of that work, with the photos from each project.
David made two trips to the Colca Valley, high in the mountains of southern Peru, working with other nonprofits and the Peruvian government. He met dozens of families, visiting their homes and parishes in eleven remote villages. Over that time, Urban Angels assembled its own team for our first independent mission in July, August, and September 2016. In the 2017 school year, we ran Equipo de Líderes, our after-school program for secondary students in Yanque.
